I have to be honest, Im not as excited about Gotham as I am about the The Flash TV series. To me, they shouldve done a Batman TV series 10 years ago. Also, I wish the series featured Bruce Wayne as a 17 year old, building his skills which will become Batman. I had idea of it being a cast of Bruce Wayne, his best friend Harvey Dent and love interest Pamela Isley. Both Dent and Wayne would train at a local dojo, where Bruce would get his martial arts skills. Isley was the brains of the group. I envisioned the supporting cast would have Alfred, Jim Gordon and Dr. Leslie Thompkins. To me, Thompkins is just as important--if not more important--in the development of Wayne than Alfred, since in some comics, Wayne was inspired by her willingness to help those who needed it. Alfred would still be a former secret agent and would help train Bruce with skills in detective work. Gordon would be a beat cop dealing with some corruption in the force with with Detective Flask and Commissioner Loeb. Ive feature both Falcone and Maroni as the main criminal element in Gotham. Intro characters like Firefly, and Clock King as thugs theyd hire. Id also like an episode where Wayne meets Zatara and his teenaged daughter, Zatanna where he secretly learns to be an escape artist. Im drawing from Batman TAS, obviously, but we all know that was a great show and a blue print to how you make Batman awesome. As for the rogues gallery, Id featured Edward Nygma was an socially awkward teen and sort smart about have him be Bruces friend, but Nygma being jealous of Bruce.
