I have to take a moment to brag on our son, and my husband. (I know...again) When we pulled in to our driveway there was a car on the side of the road. Marty asked if I was going to check on them. I delicately explained the reason a woman, with four children, should not approach a broke down car. As I said not all people have good intentions Marty interrupted me, I know mom, some people are bad. He then informed us that if Zach was home he would walk over and check on the passengers, asking if they needed help. I assured him that yes, Zach would. That when he was a strong grown man it would be his responsibility to stop and help those in need too. That he should never take advantage of someone weaker than him. That he should be a man no woman should ever fear. With his big brown eyes he nodded his head seriously and said, I know. It filled my heart with joy and love. Ive heard too many stories over the last few weeks, men abusing their strength over women. Some I know, and some I dont. Im so thankful that our son is learning through the actions and teaching of my husband to respect the physical strength he will have over others. To know that he looks up to Zach, and understands the importance of being a good man. That makes my heart happy.
