I have to vent. If I offend, I appologize, if you agree, cool. Saturday I went to the Fairgrounds with Diana Archer Smith, for the HOSPICE yard sale. Now all of these items were donated, but people gave very nice items. The 4H building was full as well as the Merchants building, a very large tent out side and items covering the ground by the Grange. It took us 10 minutes to find a parking spot. Had to be some what close as I didnt take MIssys wheel chair. it was 11:30 when we finally got to enter 1 of the buildings. As soon as we walked in, there was a lady hollering in a megafone, hurry up with your purchases and head to a cashier because they were done at noon. We never even got to see much because of the amount of people, so promptly at NOON, they had Teens with shopping carts, takeing everything to the dumpsters, where they immediately began smashing and breaking everything. tearing up clothes and throwing them in. So no one would come back and take anything. THIS SICKENS ME. there are homeless, underprivlaged, unemployed, Children, who could have used these items. There are going to be kids going back to school with no clothes, or someone looking for a job that needed something nice to wear for an interview. The SELFISH GREED of Man has taken over, and they would not take an offer on anything, plus you have to pay to get in on one night just to look around. I seriously hope the next time you want to donate something dont give it to them. Call a Church or other organization, they know people who need stuff. Here are pics of the kids busting stuff in the hoppers if you need proof.
