I have yet to participate in this years daily fb thankful for post, so Ill just sum mine up in one fell swoop. Here. Now. First and foremost, Im thankful for my son, Riley. He is a constant giver of unconditional love, endless supplier of laughs (mostly AT me), and an all knowing, wiser beyond his 12 years of age kid, who always seems to know just what to say at the right moment. Hes my light at the end of the tunnel and the reason I dont give up. Im thankful for my upbringing; all roller coaster ride aspects of it. As a young child, I was exposed to a tolerance and love for others that seems to be lacking in todays family relationships. Despite major differences and a lack of communication between my parents, my Mother kept close relationships with my Dads family after theyd split up; some of which are still ongoing and treasured today. Exposure to those positive interactions help mold me into the woman Ive become, and are why Im fully dedicated to instilling the same values and morals into my son, as well as carry them into my own relationship. Thank you, Mom, Dad, Aunts-- Angel, Mary & Laura, Uncle Scott, Grandma G, and all others who made teaching me love and tolerance a priority. Im thankful for great friends, wonderful landlords, the food were blessed to eat...and everything else I hope to never take for granted. Lastly, Im thankful for you. You...the one who didnt give up on me. The one who makes me smile, laugh, sing in the shower, dance around like a complete idiot, fall down stairs, mutter and stutter, gives me butterflies, teaches me without using words, and loves me in the absolute, most awkward, nobody gets it but us, just trust me and go with it, way.
