I havent visited this group in a while. Just shy of two months ago I switched Drs (LLMD to ND, who works with a PA). (Igenex CDC +) I have made great progress in the short time Ive seen her! Unlike my Former Dr I feel she was able to look outside the boxso to speak and address some other issues I was having that may or may not have been Lyme related. So I have been off all abx for several months (the treatment was nearly killing me) but 5 days ago I started back on Doxy due to persistent joint pain. Because we worked on healing my gut beforehand I am tolerating it much better this time around BUT it has caused a HUGE increase in my joint pain, mostly in my right elbow! Hot, searing persistent pain that wakes me up at night. I can barely lift a half gallon of milk (no I dont drink it myself :) or push the vacuum cleaner. Im assuming this is a die off reaction but Im wondering how long it might last? I have not taken any pain meds but am wondering if there is something topical that has worked? Given how terribly sick I was Ill take this, but Im worried it will always hurt like this!
