I hear that the public schools districts are crying about cuts to education in PA again. As far as I can see is that PA spends 40% of its budget on education at all levels. Gov. Corbett (R) only cut the size of the increases compared to the Rendell (D) budgets and the Obama stimilus. The school districts need to get their budgets under control by breaking the unions and strict financial disipline. When they increase taxes so much that people cannot afford their own houses, no money comes in. Or we could just go back to the system that worked before socialized education was forced onto the public, have the parents pay for it. That would be the most effective way to get the right education needed to compete in the economy, keep costs under control and allow people to stay in their homes (elderly and poor).
