I hope everyone of my friends will stop and read this - watch the video and SHARE - expose an epidemic that CAN be cured. Every 15 seconds a woman is being beaten by her partner - yet when youre having that happen, you feel so alone. Like it cant be happening to anyone else. The woman in this video said that she believed it was her fault, something she was doing wrong, and IF ONLY she could fix herself.... Please, dont judge a woman being abused, theyre being brainwashed and humiliated and theyre scared to death, theres never a safe moment in their lives - ever. The thing is, many women stay because theyre more afraid of leaving, of what hell do if she doesnt come home. And the children, you just want to keep the family intact - sometimes faith plays a roll and you dont want to divorce because of your religious beliefs - you want to salvage the marriage. BUT the children will grow up seeing him call you fat, stupid, dumb and worse names - and theyll call you those names. Believe me, they will call you every ugly, hurtful and nasty name he called you. Its hard to get out and start over - years of being afraid and made to feel like you dont matter. Years of living life his way and having no say - if you do speak up you can get strangled or thrown to the ground or down the back porch steps. He might stomp on you. And you feel its only happening to you - but its every 15 seconds. And years after youve divorced and have become safe - you still dont speak of it for fear what others will think of you for living that way - you keep it a secret that your own children call you the same names Daddy did. If youre in this situation - you are not alone - there are people out there that will help you. And its hard and frightening to leave, more so if you have children - hell always be in your life, youll never be away from him. And sadly many men do follow through and kill their wife. I hope everyone will watch this 20/20 clip of what domestic violence really is - and it can happen to anyone - a school teacher, a secretary, a public administrator, a therapist even a doctor - in every walk of life - this can happen. And its the whole family that is victim, the children grow up seeing this and believe mom is no good. By the way, the reason this man is beating his wife is because she asked him what he wanted for lunch. He asked her if she thinks she loves him and the children and she said yes and he screams at her, you THINK you love us, shes in a lose lose situation, nothing she says will be right - and her children are watching this happen, hearing the names hes calling her and they do, will and have call her those same names.
