I just came back from spending a week in Aruba. I own week 39 in CDM and have been going there since 1992. Love it! Weather was perfect as always! The only complaint was that my rental car was infested with roaches! I have been renting from ECONO for over 10 years and never had any problems. This year they were terrible. We rented from the airport location as always, and the car they gave us was a beat up piece of junk. It had large dents all over it and was not clean inside or out. After having it only one day, we decided to go to Giannis for dinner. The valet guy brought us our car and jumped out quickly saying there are bugs all over inside. We left the car at Giannis because there was no way we were getting back in it to drive home. The next day we went to the ECONO desk located in ABC. We told them what happened and they asked us if we wanted another car. I said absolutely not, we wanted a full refund. They insisted we pay $40 for 1 day rental and did not want to reimburse us for our cab fare from Giannis. Once we arrived back home to New York we contacted American Express to explain the situation. Amex advised us that ECONO charged us $70 when they told us it would be $40. We are disputing the charge and they will not get anything! Dont use them...they suck!
