I just finished watching Beware of Mr. Baker. I know a few of you recommended it, but it was on the advice of my former business associate, trusted music expert, and dear friend Monte Conner that I chose this to watch first today. Unbelievable. I knew Ginger was awesome, but did not realize his career was so accomplished. I also had an inkling of what a curmudgeonly character he is, but damn it what a lousy family man. I pity his losing his father before his formative years (his account of the last time he saw his dad is heart wrenching), but that does not excuse his failures as a father. My dad had a bastard of a father, and made sure he wasnt. Otherwise, I laughed throughout the film, felt sympathy, felt disgust, but mostly was in awe. He is one of a kind. I highly recommend this film for anyone, but especially for anyone that has been in the music industry- it will humble your accomplishments immediately.
