I just got back from Philly and reflecting on the weekend and my 7th Out of The Darkness walk. This was a tough year as I had a few harassing emails about my fundraising which really upset me. First I want to say if I ever offend you or you get sick of my posts or emails trying to raise money and awareness for depression and suicide prevention, please tell me to take you off my email list and feel free to hide my posts. I will not be offended but I will NOT stop. If I can stop one person of living thru hell like my mom must have , and the pain Ive suffered since, then its all worth it. I want to help educate you so you can educate your children and together we can stop the stigma of mental illness and stop the rates of depression going up every year. I want to know if u r sad, I want to continue my personal path of healing, I want to stop suicide, and I want to make a difference. To all my HS friends, I met Madisons father (we all heard about the track and soccer beauty who died by suicide at Penn) who had a 50 person team. I also met some of Madisons college friends, young beautiful women who are devastated. They are now learning about the awful disease, depression, that killed their beautiful friend and are so brave for wanting to help get rid of the stigma and spread the word so no other college kid has to suffer like Madison did or how they are now. So to all of you who support me and donate, words cant express how much this means to me and how you are helping eradicate suicide, helping me, and keeping my mothers memory alive. TOGETHER WE RAISED $26,700 the top fundraiser out of 2000 for the Philly walk (this year they also had a walk in Seattle so overall we were never 2) AMAZING. Thank you for your kind hearts and wanting to help me turn my pain into something positive. I am truly humbled and promise not to ask for any more money until at least next year 😉. My heart is full right now. And a very special thank you to my AFSP family that is a huge part of my healing and have changed my life Dennis Tackett Chris Soucy Tackett ray and Mary Anne McKenzie Burke Nicole Dolan Sheryl Tupper Chamberlin Amanda Chamberlin Gillian Murray Chuck Allen Jessica Smith Allen Michael Christøpher Mo Krausman Rachel Jamie Argento Love each and everyone if you ❤️
