I just had a rather unpleasant conversation with my neighbour across the street who is all for cutting all the trees in Brookswood and doesnt believe there is any way of preventing the trees from being cut as there is no bylaw in effect. He is very much pro-development and is really pissed off that people got all up in arms and stopped the plans from going through. He quite happily told me that after the election, the plans will be pushed through and that the council only backed off so they could keep their seats. I warned him that there may well be several new council members opposed to it, and he laughed and said good luck. He said the wildlife could go live in the park and that I could go live in the ALR or in Northern BC if I wanted wildlife so bad. i just shook my head and walked away. Theres no talking to idiots like that. >:(
