I just have to share my giddiness, excitement, blissful happiness at what I purchased yesterday: two Kobayashi’s!!! This morning we went to see the Greenberg Fine Art Gallery I am in on Canyon Road in Santa Fe. After a great visit with a powerful young lady, Bella, we walked over to my favorite gallery on Canyon Road… Meyer’s Gallery and walked in to see about 10 Kobayashi’s on the wall. Bliss…manna from heaven…as never have I seen that many Kobayashi’s in one place. Turns out they are having a show for him on this Friday night and said they had twenty five new paintings. Twenty-five new paintings! Well, I went berserk, crazy with excitement. Asked to see the rest upstairs … a plethora, all over the place, resting against the walls, against the back of a sofa. A treasure trove of one of my all-time favorite painters. A feast for this artist’s eyes… And I have been giddy ever since. And that my friends, is what happened to me today. I don’t think I have ever bought anything… any clothes, any furniture, any painting, any jewelry, any plant, any house…anything that pleases me more. What a compliment to the artist Kobayashi. Maybe I will tell him in person. Well, not maybe…
