I just received a private message from a person, a friend who is critical of my postings of such things a s poetry and sometimes rhetorical description of my paintings. Moreover that I was proving myself the fool like Quixote and should use my resources to encourage people to at best abandon this folly of Romanticism and stir them toward more obtainable goals. Well my friends I’m still pondering the notion that I harbor the concept of Romanticism rather Realism. I realize that all of us, each of us are unique in our own way and that it is not and never was my intention to offend anyone. That just is not my nature. I only wanted to share with others those things that I find delightful such as the thoughts and expressions of those who have had a positive influence on me, that’s all. I’m not smart enough to compete with the intelligentsia who want to identify me with foolish aspirations. I will leave that up to you, my friends who ever you are.
