I just spoke on the phone with Cpl. Donny Daughenbaugh USMC, the vice president of the Coalition to Salute Americas Heroes. Remember our story last year with the beautiful quilts for the soldiers? Well, all the quilts have found homes and they would like to get more. Actually, there is an event coming up in 2 weeks for which they would like to have some. If I had any left? Nope. Donny knows enough about quilts now, he knows you cant get a quilt in 2 weeks... but, I told him we could definitely start working again as I really, really , really always want him to have quilts for our soldiers. I dont want to say no! Thats not even a question. He also mentioned that he is making a lot of hospital visits and I suggested to him that we could provide him with pillowcases that have a little message for our soldiers. This is more practical to deliver all over the country, it is faster to make and this way we can do pillow cases for hospital visits and quilts for bigger events. More to follow, but since so many of you have put so much heart in this last year... I want to inform you ASAP. Something good is coming, oil your machines!
