I just want to give a little shout out to my parental units. We went and had some family time yesterday, so everyone on my side could meet Wade. I found out that my dad had not had a drink or relapse in two months. Even my mom stopped drinking. Which Im sure was something that just made it harder for my dad. Im so proud of both of them. It was almost weird seeing my dad with cup after cup of coffee rather than always having a beer in hand. My parents, sister and brother in law have also all stopped smoking cigarettes in the house. And not surprisingly, they all really enjoy not smoking inside. The house doesnt smell so much like stale smoke. It was great. And again, so freaking proud of my mom and dad.
