I just wanted to share a quick story with everyone. What Emma Watson did yesterday needs to be amongst the most historical speeches in history ! Speaking for woman across the world, as brilliant and as brave as it was, I just really wanted to highlight the fact that Emma is not the first to voice the importance of feminism, and without being bias, my wonderful girlfriend Arlen Taylor-White has stood for feminism her whole life. Its Young inspirational woman such as the one I proudly stand by that are the reason as to why us men need to make a stand for not only women but ourselves as people, if you take the time and educate yourself or even better and lucky enough ( like me ) ! to have feminists in your life you will realise that this is a movement which has a significant voice for all ! in equality ! I am so lucky to have been educated and most importantly made aware with most of the struggles women face every.single.day ! From STILL being underpaid in the workplace to being simply harassed in public on a daily basis ! Just quickly imagine for a second ! (Men) being whistled at ! Walking to work everyday from a job site full of women ? Anddddd.... I bet you said something along the lines of.....oh..that sounds good, I wouldnt have a problem with that ! Okay fair enough the first day you would probably feel shy and a bit embarrassed, but confident and happy to be appreciated, but...now it happens EVERYDAY ! As you walk to and from work what was nice has now become annoying and offensive because they have started to label you as slut or whore for appreciating what you thought was at first nice and things arent looking so rosey anymore, these are just SOME of the problems women face everyday ! Lucky for us men we DONT really have this problem but thats were its time to draw the line look at the women who mean the world to you in the eye wether they be your girlfriend, sister, wife, mother, grandmother or even a complete stranger and say I believe in feminism and I want whats equally right for you ! It doesnt even have to be words show it in actions ! Forget all stereotypes and start clean where everyone is capable of doing anything despite there gender ! I for one will ! And I can so proudly stand today and announce that I AM A FEMINIST ! And I believe in equality for ALL ! #himforher
