I just woke up to someone complaining about getting event invites and cancellations in a group they chose to join. This is what groups are intended for, you get invites to events so you know whats going on, you will receive cancellations once in a while when the group wall gets cleaned up from canceled and past events, and sometimes you even get messages from people you dont know. Facebook has provided many options to eliminate these messages from happening. There are three options that I am aware of. You can set notifications to friends posts, turn notifications off or leave a group. If you are on Facebook and are not aware of how these things work I suggest maybe checking the help section of Facebook or watch some YouTube as what to expect from the things you click on things that involve interacting with other people on the internet. Giving me attitude about Facebook doing what Facebook was designed to do isnt going to stop Facebook from doing what it does.
