I knew that Cydney aging out of early intervention would be hard (it goes from birth-age 3 and then they go to the school system) but I didnt realize it would be this heartbreaking. Cydney doesnt qualify for any services through the school system. I wasnt worried about physical and occupational therapy, but she desperately needs speech therapy. My sweet baby cant communicate with her friends and gets super frustrated trying to communicate, but we are losing that service next month. I am heartbroken for her family/friends, but I am so broken for her-she wants to talk with others, but doesnt know how. We are now searching for other options. I know shes smart and we are so thankful for that, and the only thing wrong with her is her airway, but that prevents her from communicating. :-(
