I know many of you arent on Twitter and still watch the evening news, so youre not hearing about the social movements rising up across the globe. Our corporate owned media doesnt want to concern you with major upheavals in the world and within our U.S. boundaries. They want you to sit comfortably on the couch to convince you its safe to go buy something. Well, if you follow Muncie Voice, you are more informed than the average American. I can assure you there is plenty going on all over the world. Oppression, income inequality and stripping away rights have become all too commonplace in the United States - even in Indiana. While we celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in 2014, know this, were losing ground from the progress made by this great leader during the civil rights movement of the 60s. The travesties committed on other humans are being justified by religious beliefs and politics. In the midst of this hate, our new Pope is acting with courage and leading like Jesus to transform the church and Vatican bank.
