I learned something early back in my high school dormitory days by simple observation. Chike my classmate was the kind of guy that got into endless troubles with the school authority and he always got away. Every other person will be fried but Chike the proverbial cat with nine lives got away. Then there was another; Eddy. The dude was the devil who was tagged an angel. He did the worse things but the school authority took him to be a harmless rabbit when actually he was the Dare-devil. Of course his innocent and fickle looks paid off on him. Eddy was never caught breaking a school rule but the school rule, he broke them all. What many of our classmates did not notice was that if Eddy jumps the fence, nobody will get caught. But woe to all of you who join Chike on his day of adventure. You will all be caught and Chike will be bailed somehow. True to my observation, if Eddy was NOT in the band, I refuse to get involved. That way, my longevity was covered. THE LESSON: know your level of grace and ill luck. You dont have to do something just because you see someone else do it and get away clean. Life is a comic mystery. Observe your milieu and know what works for you and what doesnt. Know your elastic limit; dont be convinced or pushed by anothers feat. Be driven solely by your intuition. Why am I saying this? The impeachment of former Gov. Nyako of Adamawa beyond everything else is a tale of lesson. Amaechi stepped on the President GEJs feet and got away and still throws punches once in a while. Dear Gov. Nyako, you are not Amaechi, what works for Amaechi maybe the undertaker at your funeral. I am a retired military Chief, he must have told himself. If Amaechi a bloody civilian can do to that clueless and shoeless creek man and got away, how much me, a retired Admiral? He went at President GEJ and the undertakers came at his doors and buried him alive. Amaechi is still walking and may still lambaste GEJ and get away with it. Choose your enemies wisely, the law of conventional enterprise warns. Know your nature. Know your status. Know yourself. Do not assume, dont believe, just KNOW. Unless of course you are on your IDGAF mode and your mission is either Jihadistic or youre probably wearing a suicidal vest where your victory is of no relevance to your value and cognition, then bravo! But if youre in a situation where winning is the darling outcome you desire, then its best you put the above into you head; know your level of grace. Know what doesnt work for you. Know your nature. Know your vodoo. Know your weakness. Know your strength and your point of loss. Dont follow Amaechi, you are not Amaechi. What befriends Amaechi may not like the contours on your face. A man who digs his own grave cannot claim victimization unless to his senseless. Nothing else to say...
