I left Star Wars before George and I had a falling out over Marc - TopicsExpress

I left Star Wars before George and I had a falling out over Marc Pevers and my Kenner %. George had asked me to stay, but I wanted to move into production and George wanted to keep me where I was. Gary, after all, was producing, so there was no room to move me anywhere. When Fox asked if I wanted to do Alien, I accepted because I liked the project and producer, and thought it would be a good break to go to the UK. London has always been one of my favorite cities. My job on Alien would be a cut and dried publicity consultant. I would place a couple of key articles and do a couple of books. This was in the late 70s. The internet was still limited, so Novelizations and Making of Books were very important in marketing a movie. Books could easily make $1M. There is no equivalent today. This photo here is of an American Film article I had placed, plus some of the Alien scripts, and a page of Alan Dean Fosters galleys.
