I like this cartoon in that it brings realization to our lives here on earth as fleetingly vain, futile and empty, temporary and transitory... but in a happy way! Very Ecclesiastes, if youll allow me the verb. :) Im of the mindset here lately that endorses wisdom and works of charity through compassion and LOVE as a means for a well-lived earthly life, although I only partially able to ascribe eternal meaning to that, as well. In light of this earthy-senselessness, one should enjoy the simple pleasures of daily life, such as eating, drinking, and taking enjoyment in ones work, which I truly believe to be daily graces, or gifts, directly from the hand of God.
