I like what Joyce says here about stepping out and finding out. I have found that not all people feel or hear the direction of what God is calling them to do they just now He is. For me I was lucky and knew early on my first calling was music and the pull to first teach youth, then young ladies, then older ladies ( which was my hardest because I was unsure if I even knew enough to teach those older than me- but rest assure He always gave me insight into what He wanted them to know) and now this ministry. But I agree with Joyce that if you feel called or just want to serve- step out there and find out- the worst that will happen is you will grow, you will bless and you will learn if this is not where God wants you. Personally I believe any service you do for the Lord is not wrong and never wasted even when it may not be exactly where He wants you to be. So yes I encourage you to step out and find out and then serve Him with all your heart. 9 A mans heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps. Proverbs 16:9 Devotional Step Out and Find Out People often ask me how to find their place in ministry. Some spend many years waiting to hear a voice or to receive supernatural direction. I tell them to step out and find out. Early in my journey with God, I wanted to serve Him. I felt He had placed a call on my life but I didnt know exactly what to do, so I tried different opportunities that were available. A lot of them didnt work out for me, but I kept trying different ones until I found an area that fit me. I finally came alive inside when I had an opportunity to share the Word with people. I found joy in teaching, and it was obvious I was good at it. I knew then that I had found my place in ministry. Sometimes the only way to discover Gods will is to practice what I call stepping out and finding out. If you have prayed about a situation and dont seem to know what you should do, take a step of faith. Dont be afraid of making a mistake. Step out and God will guide you.
