I live on a farm in Africa Today I want to do a water - TopicsExpress

I live on a farm in Africa Today I want to do a water pressure/volume test in for a micro-hydro electricity generation project. While trying to figure out why the pressure is not as expected I investigate a disturbance in the guava orchard and find a bag full of all the wiring of the olive nursery hothouse (pic1). Later I find out that the pressure is missing because the pipe was wrecked to get hold of the cast iron join (pic2). The join is probably about 2kg of iron - maybe worth R4 as scrap. I decide I had better lock away the shelving uprights I inherited from Ivor 10 years ago, but I see I am too late - the thieves have made off with 3/4 of it already (pic3). This is but the latest in a long line of incidents - the river pump and its switchgear (we retrieved what is left of the switchgear (pic4)), the capping plate of the new borehole was stolen and in the process the pump, pipe and cabling was left to drop down the 120m borehole. Out of the workshop 2 large grinders, 2 small grinders, an electric drill. This is what I have discovered and remembered - the list does not and will not stop there. Am I allowed to get a bit despondent or am I just being negative?
