I looked up as I walk along yesterday, so my tears won’t fall! I knew that sacrificing is part of our life in Palestine, to sacrifice with your time, with all what you have; your life, your house and your dreams! You must cope with the circumstances and live on with life until you go into eternal sleep. It was all the result of the aggression on Gaza, I tried to bear the consequences with the hope I have. I had to postpone my finals of the summer semester and had to delay so many things I planned to do late this year. More badly, I wasn’t able to complete the portion I decided to memorize from the Qur’an during Ramadan! Ramadan passed, though we weren’t able to make the most out of it! I can’t blame myself for all this; I tried to take action so that my plans won’t be ruined and I tried hard to cope with circumstances. But subhanAllah, Allah presented us with obstacles because He knows that we have the ability to endure them. Allah says in the Qur’an 2:286 “Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.” I remember several months back when I started in a fresh mood, writing my to-do list and ordering myself to do everything without fail. I say as Prophet Mohammed PBUH said: “O Allah! Fill their graves and their homes with fire as they have kept us busy from Salat Al-Wusta (the middle prayer) until the sun set.” O Allah! Fill their graves and their homes with fire as they have kept us busy from achieving our spiritual and life goals and objectives. Amen!
