I love Kaizer Chiefs, they are the reason why I love football, - TopicsExpress

I love Kaizer Chiefs, they are the reason why I love football, especially the brand of called IDISKI... Been supporting and loving Chiefs ever since I can remember... BUT, but... In the past four or seasons, I must say that I have lost a great part of that love. My reasons are: our brand of football lacks both creativity and direction. Secondly the results are not good looking. The success is on the decline and is not so frequent!!! The current crop of players are so not exciting. Some of them dont even deserve to play for Chiefs... Yes they dont!!! Im talking here about the likes of Shabba, Nkatha, Gaxa, Gould, Baloyi, Rusike etc.... Shabba is a mid-fielder and part of his responsibility is to create goals for the strikers, and score if space is available. What does he do? Hes selfish, doesnt have a first touch (after around ten seasons playing proffessionally), doesnt score goals (I only remember one last season, that goal against Free State Stars).... Gaxa has got the speed, but hell never be a smart player, he gets to good positions but his final ball has always been wayward... Always!!! Gould is more of a boxer than anything... Baloyi seems to be playing in the wrong position, that position does not only need good basics, also a little bit of creativity in opening spaces, switching play and penetrating the opposition!!! Well Rusike, where do I start??? I dont even need to say about Nkatha!!! I feel that this team is now too big for the Motoungs, that they now lack ambition. Worst thing is, the future doesnt seem to bright either. I was watching our u-19s the week before last, had the privilege to watch Arthur Zwanes u-14s during the course of last season and I must mention that all these teams play this direct and predictable nonsense that has no creativity of any sort!!! Now with that in mind, would you blame me for not having hope for the future?????? The Kaizer Chiefs I grew to love and support so passionately would have won the league last season, finish and klaar!!! That same Chiefs was never gonna lose 3-nil in a continental competition. We were going to convincingly win that home leg of the tie against A.S Vita to gain progress in the competition. I mean we scored our first goal in the eighth minute, surely we could/should have scored our second before half-time, if we had players who possess both quality and ambition in their trade. It is very disturbing to see our neighbors, our fiercestb rivals generating around a 100 million in a space of four season or so, whilst we generated far less than half of that!!! Our problems begin with Bobsteaks unwillingness to buy quality players, going instead for what is available which is often not not quality or at least not Kaizer Chiefs material!!!! He does not want to compete (financially) for the players. Yet, it has been proven that spending is another option that can bring success... Locally Sundowns proved that just last season. The likes of Real Madrid, PSG, MAN. CITY are all testimony that money well spent can yield success... As much as I hate to admit this, but, our noisy neighbours are playing very good football. They always have... Remember the Pirates coached by the likes of Bondarenko, Papic and Krol were a marvell to watch... The last time we played better football was during Ted Dumitrus time, where we had the likes of Shoes, Scars the Black Jesus etc.... That was the last time I enjoyed watching Kaizer Chiefs!!!!!! Bobsteak has done a very good job in plotting our downfall, congratulations to him!!!!!!!!!!
