I love india, for all its beauty and dilemma... love people and places here..people are very nice...lovely festivals like Kumbh, Pushkar...blue smoky mountains, rare species of orchids, flurry of activities on the streets...love the multicultural hue of indian life...a paradise for photography that makes a statement each time the shutter is opened... Baba fully laden with beads, (called Rudraksha), and ashes rubbed down all over body... This shot gave us some fun...my friend and I were roaming through the Akhadas (tents of sadhus), when we spotted him and went to tell him that we wanted to photograph him...he asked how did we do and permitted....but the problem was we shot him for 10 minutes....never without having him camera conscious and striking a pose for the photographs by raising his right palm in bless-giving mode and little smile... leaving other devotees that had gathered in front him...this is the only shot that we managed to get with some spontaneous, unstruck pose....
