I love the body of Christ, the true church, very much! Every born again person is ordained to love the church. The Lord has given a standard regarding the manner we are to love His church. I remember hearing a vision a minister told many years ago. Whether a true vision from God or not I cannot say... This minister said he saw what looked like a great sea. The vision zoomed in so he could see it was really a sea of flames. The vision zoomed in further so people were visible in the sea. Still zooming in further provided a close up of one particular man who rose up about waist level above the rest. This man began lifting people up and examining their faces one person at a time. The minister having the vision could interact with this man examining others. So the minister asked him what he was doing. The man responded, “I am looking for the preacher who told me I was alright!” It is a powerful but terrifying thing to be called as a minister of God. We must love the sons of God according to the standard of the Lord. Telling them they are alright, if in fact they are not, does not conform to the standard of Christ! Christ loves every single one of us. Nothing we can do will change that truth! However, allowing a person to live contrary to the way of the Lord, while telling them how much the Lord loves them without showing them a more excellent way to live, does not conform to the standard of Christ!
