I made a very meaningful connection earlier part of today when I met a new friend for a meal. We got to know each from Facebook via a mutual friend and have been cyber friends for a few years. He has supported me on many occasions, buying my cookbooks for charity, getting cakes from me etc. For which all I am very grateful to have him encouraging me all the way. So today we made a point to meet up. We spoke about our ideals, shared our not so ideal childhood, growing up pains, and realized we have a lot in common. What made me feel great was that, he as a straight married man, respects the freedom to love and embraces my life as a gay man without judgement or prejudice. In return, I told him its because of Facebook I got to know more straight people and made new friends and realize my circle of friends has also expanded in a meaningful way. I think we left the eating place feeling strangely connected. The beginning of a new friendship. It was a very nice feeling indeed :) Thank you Jeremy for the wonderful talk and sharing so much. You made me realize we are both just after one thing in life. Happiness :)
