I made my hateful bi-weekly trip to Pet Supplies Plus tonight. In true male fashion the store manager made things more difficult by helping me with my purchase. I ended up having to manipulate two carts instead of one. Gee, that was so nice of you. While I was there I bought pet steps for Royal to get into the car. I have been picking her up - all 71 pounds of her - and putting her in the car because she wont jump in, and my lower back is destroyed. I think she wasnt allowed to jump when she had her broken leg (three years ago), and she still cant be persuaded. I probably should have bought a ramp instead but it was too heavy for me to haul around. Im hoping the steps hold her weight and I can get her up them. If she still refuses she can wait on the sidewalk in front of the house until the rest of us get back from the Meet & Greet on Sunday. Sara says its time for bed and I guess Id better listen, before my mean streak really starts to show. :-)
