I make mistakes daily because of my lack of experience, but Im learning. For me, its more bothersome when people get paid to teach survival and they still get it wrong or whats worse, when they beat up on the lesser experienced with the arrogance of some self-authorized superiority complex. Im going to put this out there right now. When it comes to learning objective facts, there is no room for opinion. When a person is a professional survival instructor that has peoples lives & trust in their hands, mess up, thats unacceptable to me. Their teaching should be nearly flawless and they should be ready to accept correction especially when even Stevie Wonder can see they are wrong. Making a mistake is acceptable, but refusing to admit one is wrong I should say is nnot acceptable. Still, even then, the mistakes should be almost zero for a professional. Terms; Would anyone be offended if we discussed proper terms? I hear terms being misused too regularly and people are afraid to correct each other. I have misused terms, have been corrected and appreciated it. So, with the humility of true students, lets improve ourselves. What terms have you heard misused or misapplied?
