I may not be the coolest person. Or the funniest person. Or the best looking. I may not fall into any groups or cliques, or be very popular. Not everyone likes me. Not everyone hates me. I might be a little abrasive, or a little on the weird side, but Im perfectly fine with that. You know why? Im my own person. I wont fall into the peer pressure of being like someone else, like too much of our generation. I wont walk around with my pants to my ankles, somehow maintaining a hat on my head that seems to be falling off, I wont wear boots and a carhart, I wont dye my hear blue and get half my head shaved off, because like I said; Im me. I control my life and live it the way I want it. I dont have a problem with any of that, but its just not me. I dont see why we have to have farmers and stoners, why cant everyone just be equal and normal? Who cares about what you drive or do? I just dont see why people have to act so strongly to emphasize the fact that theyre in those kinds of groups. Everyone should just be themselves and not worry about what anyone else thinks, because its stereotypes like that that cause problems in this little town. Im friends with a lot of people, but a lot of people wonder why Im so different. I used to be scrawny as hell and get made fun of for it, and that changed my life. Now, people consider me a gym freak; some wont even talk to me because they think its all I think care or talk about. But I dont care. I have friends I listen to metal, I take care of myself, and I have a family that loves me, and thats all I could ever want in life. Not to be cool or fit in I just like being me. Plain and simple, and if you dont like me, well thats just fine. And if you do like me, then I hope were friends. And to anyone who may feel the same way I do, I invite you to try being yourself to the best of your ability; you wont be happy trying to be someone else. Goodnight everyone.
