I missed Day 4 so catching up! Bon Jovi has arguably been the most prominent music influence in my life so far. When it all started... Well, I guess I was in this “Crush wave” when the band gained the whole lot of new younger fans because of tremendous success with It’s My Life.. I notably considered myself an “oldie buff” being much more keen on such records as Fahrenheit 7800 and These Days. But anyway.. I knew each and every song by heart, it was like a soundtrack for every possible occasion. It was a time of a teenage phase when you’re growing up and trying to figure out what it means to be in this world when you left your childhood behind.. trying to makes sense of all the changes you’re going through.. I’d say I was a bit of a loner – didn’t have plenty of friends and even though my family was always a major support its the music I turned to. And I can even go as far as saying that this band shaped me as an individual. I was also the time when Internet just kicked in so the whole world suddenly opened up to you.. This is probably the most important bit I ever be grateful for – meeting a bunch of fantastic people that way. And you know what? Then out of being a soulmate it expands into a beautiful friendship you’re having for years and it’s not only about your taste in music, it might change. What stays it everything else. The person you hold dear. I shall mention it was long before the things got ugly with Richie leaving and all.. But even though I’m not the first in line for the ticket to BJ show anymore, at the end of the day it is a part of me impossible to abandon. Nobody would even know how much it hurts but I’ve decided to remember the good times. Ah, there were loads! So after fruitless attempts to choose the song I love the most (‘cause there are far too many) I decided to show you the video I’ve made following the last BJ tour ‘en bloc’ and it sort of goes with that’s just been said.
