I need help with these two things, does anyone have any good - TopicsExpress

I need help with these two things, does anyone have any good advice? 1) I washed some clothes after washing some clothes that were used in clam digging... While it was a good idea that I didnt wash anything else with the clam digging stuff, I guess the next batch of laundry still got some of stinky mildewy rotting mud smell. I tried everything I could think of... Washing machine ran with washing machine cleaner about 3 times since, tried a bit of bleach and my other laundry are fine after that, no more mildew smell from clothes. But that very first batch of clothes I washed in the beginning still have the smell. I tried everything I could think of (minus bleach) for this batch of clothes... Tried scentsy products as well as washing numerous times. The smell is still there! I do not want to throw away a load of perfectly good clothes, does anyone have any idea to get rid of this smell without ruining the clothes? One in particular I want to save is a pair of jeans. 2) Citronella is nice against bugs, and I use it a lot. Unfortunately, using this natural product (vs. chemical stuff) has its own downside: the oil used in citronella spray leaves oil spot all over fabric. I accidentally got it on some clothes and now the oil spots wont come off regardless how many times I wash these things. Does anyone have any idea as to how to get rid of these oil spots possibly? It ruined so many clothes that I just want to go back to using chemical one.
