I need opinions. I bought my embroidery machine earlier this - TopicsExpress

I need opinions. I bought my embroidery machine earlier this year, as most of you know. However, I recently (were talking less that 5 days) got an email that said my machine is now on clearance for less than half of what I paid for it-within a few months!! Here is an email Im sending to the local gms and if they dont fix it, Ill call their corporate AND Singer. Good evening. Earlier this year, I laid a Singer Futura XL-400 in layaway in your Easton Jo-Ann location. In April, I paid the balance and became, until recently, the proud owner of a wonderful machine. However, I must say that I am incredibly displeased to receive emails announcing that this brand new, top of the line (from Singer) embroidery machine has been reduced to less than half of what I originally paid for it-within just a few months. Not to mention that at the time of layaway, there was a special going on that a new machine purchase would receive a mail-in rebate for software from Singer (the editor, auto-punch, fonts, and images) and I was assured that even though I would not be taking the machine out of layaway during the time, I would still be eligible for the rebate as my layaway started during the promotion. Obviously, this is not the case or I would not be mentioning it. I have been in retail for 16 years. While I understand that sale prices are fleeting, when a machine is going to be discontinued, and/or re-released with additional features, stores are notified of the changes. What I would like to know is if there is anything that can be done regarding the large price change in such a short amount of time. Honestly, now Im sorta stuck on how to end this.
