I only slipped and said one little, ole cursity word into the microphone tonight while I was callin bingo and it wasnt even one of the words my mister censors and I think only a few folks caught it. I dropped a bunch of balls (YES!). I didnt freak out even though I was on a dais and there was that whole microphone thing. I sounded like if Paula Deen and Shirley Temple had a girlchild cousin who was near bout 12 and had the social anxiety. I mostly just enjoyed myself cause people were winnin prizes and some of those people were kids who were just beside themselves. This one little boy won his mama a necklace set, but wanted this toy tractor so bad, I asked if he could swap that necklace out and he was so flippin happy, but then, you know what? He won that same necklace set in the very next round! And then he won a dang rockin chair and Japanese maple in the round after that! I sure wanted him to go sit by my mister who wasnt winnin much a nothin but I just think thats the Universes way of lettin him know he done up and won the grand prize when he wooed me that fateful day back in 1993 as we floated down a river in south Alabama. This precious little girl won $150 in Berrien Bucks in the final round. You can use Berrien Bucks near bout everywhere round here, so its a fabulous prize. Ben, the kid goin to Emory this summer, raised some money for his trip. And I did it again, I faced down some fears and came out on the other side, hollerin BINGO! with a big, ole grin on my face.
