I published a Kindle book in March, WRITE TO THE TOP: JFKS - TopicsExpress

I published a Kindle book in March, WRITE TO THE TOP: JFKS LITERARY LEGACY, $8.99. I just published a second one, CONVERSATIONS WITH 40 GIFTED WRITERS, $8.99. The first is based on my research in the JFK Presidential Library while I lived and taught as a professor of Political History at Bridgewater State University, near Boston. It is clear that JFK was an excellent writer, but he had help from Ted Sorensen very early in his political career. Since he had back surgery when he was very young, he used Sorensens talents for his books, but he conceived the idea for each of his books, laid out the plan and changed much when he read them pre-publication. Before Sorensen, he wrote a book, WHY ENGLAND SLEPT, based on his travels in England at the end of his naval service. He wrote all of that book, and he wrote numerous articles for magazines, newspapers, etc. while his political career got started. He represented a Congressional district from Massachusetts, then was elected U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, and final, U.S. President. His writings helped enormously in getting public recognition. He was gifted with words and showed that in his many speeches. His highly-acclaimed wit also helped him immensely. You dont have to be a Democrat to enjoy this book. In July, I published a second book on Kindle in July, also $8.99. It is entitled CONVERSATIONS WITH 40 GIFTED WRITERS, and includes my conversations with famous and prolific writers: historians, biographers, novelists, journalists and host of others. I spoke with hundreds of authors while acting as BOOK CRITIC for one of Salt Lake Citys two newspapers. The book is filled with unusual descriptions by fluent writers about how they do their work, and specific descriptions about several of the books they wrote. Readers who enjoy knowing more about authors will find this book fascinating. I chose 40 of my favorite authors to include and in all cases they reacted with kindness and fluency. They were not afraid to discuss their own creative process - and each one is very different from the others. Those who aspire to be writers will especially enjoy the comments from these successful and some of them legendary writers. The book does not read like a textbook, but rather a down-to-earth conversational look at their own talent, ideas and major books.Go to Amazon and buy both these books. If you dont yet have a Kindle, get one. You can put an unlimited number of books on it, and it is easy to carry while traveling.
