I ran across this little spring cub while hiking in the woods last Wednesday morning. There were 3 cubs sleeping in the tree . I had to wait about an hour for them to wake up and get this shot. Shortly after, they came down and began to nurse. I never saw Mama until the cubs came down as she was sleeping behind a log just out of my view. (This was outside the loop on the Rich Mountain side of The Cove)
