I read the book Lone Survivor in Iraq. When I was done, I walked in the team room and set it dropped it on the conference table. I couldnt believe how much BS I had just read. I was hands down the worst thing Id ever read. One of the former SEALs on the team picked it up and tossed the book in the trash. Tonight I saw the movie... I knew better, but did anyway. I wanted to see the production so many folks have been touched by... it only saddened me to see how a chain of mistakes and miscalculations could be so embellished. If you believe the book or the movie, take a few minutes and research it... you will find no operators who believe much of the tale. A large part of honor is truth and being able to tell it no matter how hard it is. -t.
