I recall, vividly, the Los Angeles riots. Sixth period, they announced that the police officers that beat Rodney King would not face any charges. By the time the city bus dropped me off at my stop, South Central was on fire. Twenty two year later, in the shadow of the grand jurys decision in Ferguson, we have not progressed one step forward. Back then, we had it all wrong. We thought it was about race. We thought it was about white vs black. With an unjust attack on Reginald Denny at the hands of an angry mob, we missed the point then. Twenty two years later, we now know that its not about race but about abuse of authority and police oppression against all walks of life in America. The times have changed but the problem remains and have progressively become worse since April 26, 1992.... ... and the reactions of this injustice will mirror those of that day twenty two years ago. youtu.be/qi8KJ0boov8
