I received a card in the mail today from one of Mooneys nurses and its so sweet that i felt i had to share it. It really gives a good insight on how well hes doing. Bet it makes you tear up! I did! Dont be afraid to admit it, lol. Dear Dustin, My name is Emily and I am one of the nurses at West Florida Rehab. I just want to say it has been such a joy getting to know your friend Michael and watch him progress so much in such short time. He always makes me smile. I can tell now that he is a funny guy because his personality is coming out more and more each day. And he is working so hard and always giving 110% which most people cant always do. He has really reminded me why I got into nursing. Its patients like him that change your life. And I think its so awesome that he has so many followers on his facebook benefit page. Im so glad he has such great support from his friends and family. And you are such a great friend to be doing all that you have done for him. Hes so lucky to have you! I look forward to watching Michael continue to progress! She also purchased one of the new Moon Up shirts! Emily, I hope its ok i shared your kind words to everyone. Mooney means so much to so many of us, he really is an amazing guy. It means so much to us to know he is being well taken care of by someone such as yourself. Thank you for sharing your side of his recovery. I know that you said working with patients like him can change your life BUT what you are doing is so much more, youre giving him his life back, so from his family, his friends, and myself THANK YOU for everything.
