I recently saw the movie Contact which was based on a book by Carl Sagan. The main character, Eleanor Arroway played by Jodie Foster, grew up in De Pere. Another character was named Palmer Johnson which is also the name of a boat building company in Sturgeon bay. I was wondering if anyone knew what connection Sagan may have had to the area, Ive done some searching and havent find anything. By the way, its a good movie if you havent seen it.
