I remember me and my brother Ricky walking down to Hanlon Pool to go ice skating on their homemade ice rink, sitting in the warm room putting on our ice skates before we went out to skate. And also remember swimmimg in Hanlon Pool during the summer and the winter when they had the dome up over it...alot of fun!!!!! Also remember playing in the large snow banks every winter in front of our house. And going to all the little stores on Manlius Street!!!! The one store sold all old fashioned candy, like those long rope liquorices and the candy buttons, I cant remember the name of the store though. And I remember my sisters Cindy and Debbie taking us out Halloweening every year to every house that we could hit in the village, including going to other neighbor hoods!!!! And also I remember going to Seavans and watching my parents bowl!!!! I remember walking around in the rain and getting soak and wet and loving every minute of it!!!! I remember Kathy Ernestine was one of my best friends. I remember our dog Chasity was missing for a good week or so and we would go riding around the neighborhood looking for her, we finally went to the SPCA and there she was, we brought her home and she ran around in circles in our front lawn cuz she was so happy to see us and to be home!!!!! There are so many memories about growing up in the Village of East Syracuse, it was a good place to grow up!!!!!
