I remember this day 13 yrs ago..i was working at Penny on the Park (now parkside) as a line cook. At exactly 9:44am one of the other cooks grabbed me a said a plane had collided with the world trade center . We stood there in disbelief and horror as the buildings fell. We had to open for the day but it was eerily quiet ..people came in to watch the news on the big screens but there was no chatter, no ringing of gambling machines ..just people from all walks of life feeling the exact same reaction i felt. With new terrorist attempts as of late ,let us not forget the innocents who lost lives, the families who still grieve for their loved ones , and all lives lost during and following 9/11
