I saw this post and read some of the comments. I was a bit suspicious by the sheer ability to replicate an image almost perfectly without tracing. After some work Ive concluded that the Zed is traced. I am not saying that the original artist does not have talent. His coloring and such are spot on and definitely has the capacity for creating great original pieces of art. This is my opinion, believe what you want. Im ready to defend my opinion and to also accept that I am wrong if proven. I understand that you used the grid method which is fine. But the result seems too identical to the original. Each line fits with the original almost spot on. I layered the two pictures (painting and original) and though I could not get a 100% fit due to the fact that the picture was taken at a different angle than the original, it is still a good 80-90% fit which is an amazing yield.Though grid is a good method of replicating something, it does not yield a near exact copy unless you have mastered it so. I will take every thing I said back if I am shown to be incorrect.
