I see a LOT of folks who are apparently worried enough about their rights, to post a statement directed at FB, informing them that they are not allowed to use any of their FB stuff (for lack of a better term, and to be brief). While it IS nice to see that people are tired of their rights being trampled, this little clause isnt going to really help you in any way, and Im done trying to explain it to them. If that makes you feel better, then go for it, but it truly makes NO difference. Nope, by creating an account and continuing to use it, you implicitly agreed to be bound by the Terms of Service. You cant suddenly wake up, make a counter-offer on your page, and expect Facebook to be bound by your new, unilateral contract that the owners dont even have to read, or more importantly COMPLY with, at all. As of January 1st, the new terms of service will be pushed on FB users, and Im NOT going to sign on for it. Facebook has become a tracking device, keeping tabs on you, your habits, and the things you browse. The targeted ads in your own right hand side bar should be an indication of that.. Facebook has done in ten short years what the CIA has been trying to do for the last 65 years, track every thing about us that they can, now they want to know where we are and who we are with........and we are lapping it up like mothers milk. BRB...... excuse me while I take a picture of my dinner and post it ......some of my pseudo-friends wont be able to sleep if they dont know what I ate for dinner and I need to stop by my lil virtual farm and feed my animals .......and then crush some candy .......20 minutes TOPS and I will be right back... I promise. Our egos are fed by editorializing our lives now, and this false sense of a connection we feel here feeds some shallow part of us.....or at least it does for me. I truly long for simpler times when I didnt know so much about everyone I ever knew, and actually met them face to face, once in a while....to TALK, like the old days. I might be jumping ship when these new TOS go into effect, or Ill just dUMb my page back totally, and were just gonna have to talk like we used to........or not. Regardless, I WILL be part of what happens next, when WE the People, take back our country.......
