I should explain this song and accompanying lyric video. A couple people have wondered whether weve gone Illuminati-ish with the flashing imagery. I like the art of subliminal messaging but theres nothing subliminal about this. Its pretty in your face really. Theres nothing hidden and the context is simple. The pics represent the unnecessary clashing of beliefs to the point of destruction. It is about peoples prideful need to be sympathised with at the expense of another. It is about demolishing a person because they dont align with your own beliefs. I have my beliefs. I am a Christian as many of you know. And while I have every right to claim that what I believe is the truth, and to share my beliefs with others, I have NO right to cause the destruction of another persons life just because they disagree with me. If so then I am no better than the Taliban, Saddam Hussein, Hitler or the early 20th century Ottoman Empire. I claim the privilege of worshiping how, where or what I may according to the dictates of my own conscience and allow all people that same privilege. Some say religion causes war. I disagree. Thats a scapegoat. I say its pride and greed and the megalomaniac, narcissistic need for a person to feel justified in enforcing their belief on another no matter the expense. Blaming differences whether it be religion, politics, race or colour as a purpose for war actually goes AGAINST the fundamental belief systems that most of the warmongers align with. Peace.
