I stand on the rocky cliff A cool salty breeze, Hits my face, my hair flying back, My arms spreading out, gathering the cool air. I close my eyes, I breathe. My taste buds awaken, The soft taste of sea salt fills my mouth, my mind. I smile, sighing deeply. I look out, in a trance At the rocky cliff in front of me, Made up of hard, cream, jagged rock Dappled with dark green moss and shrubbery. I follow the mass of rock downward, As it plunges itself into the deep blue sea. The salt water thrashes itself onto the rock, And then retreats, then charges again. I look around; seeing the movement- The eternal movement of the trees, the sea, the wind. I look around; hearing the rustle of the leaves, The thrashing of the water, the whistle of the wind. I look, I hear, I smell, I taste, This Mediterranean scene.
