I started my Xmas shopping today as: 1) The malls are all empty of people. 2) Most stores are advertising sales of, Take an additional 40% off. 3) Other stores advertise, Up to 75% off. 4) Yet others have large signs saying, Everything must go. 5) Unwanted gifts cards are being re-sold on the secondary markets for 75 cents on the dollar. 6) When all of the above are combined, I usually wind up paying 15-20% of what the item was selling for just two weeks ago.
