I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work today to pick up a few food items. Im frugal, but I buy healthy food. I had $60 in my pocket, and it wasnt enough to buy what I needed. This was an amount of food that I carried to the car in one trip! It strikes me that healthy food is becoming unaffordable, and the people who actually produce the food can barely afford to stay in business. Why is this? Its because of stock traders, commodities and futures traders, and all the other people who reap profits from the system without producing a single thing of value. Our capitalist system has just become a way for the wealthy to screw the rest of us, while adding nothing positive to the world. Sheesh!
